An Exciting Future for Our Church!
In the first of the year, we will be going to a two service format! Our vision is to grow a more contemporary service for those whose preferences are different from ‘traditional’ church. Since neither preference is wrong, our goal is to provide a service for each stylistic preference. Our plan is to provide:
Traditional Service @ 9:00 am
Contemporary Service @ 10:30 am
During the Traditional Service, we will also have an adult bible class, pre-K thorugh 5th grade Sunday school classes, and a nursery room (if needed). Eventually, we would love to offer a middle school and high school class as well.
During the Contemporary Service, we will also have an adult bible class and a nursery room available. Children will be in service with their parents or guardians. Eventually, we would love to offer a "Children's Church" in which the kids would be dismissed at communion time for an age appropriate lesson.
These are big (but exciting) changes for us as a Church! In the beginning, our Contemporary Service will be primarily guitar lead. We will sing contemporary worship music as well as some hymns done in a modern style. As we grow our new ministry, we will add other instruments based on the talents God provides through His people.
